Wild Salmon Caravan Events

The VSOS is excited to collaborate, support and participate with the Wild Salmon Caravan. A First Nations lead initiative to celebration the Spirit of the Wild Salmon.


Saturday May 14 2017, at Britannia Community Center the Stone Soup Festival gathered the community together. Storyteller Nadine Pluzak represented The Wild Salmon Caravan and hosted a Salmon Painting Pop-up Art Making Event.

The Event was a huge success. Many Cardboard Salmon were painted by the children of East Van. Shot outs to the amazing Britannia Stone Soup Organizing Team for doing an amazing job bringing it all together. The Painted Salmon will be used in the Wild Salmon Caravan Parade taking place Oct 7th 2017 beginning at the First Nations Friendship Center and parading down Commercial Drive to Trout Lake.

The Storytelling Society will be collaborating with The Wild Salmon Caravan all summer.
